JW-FACILITATOR-LOGO.png

I have been working as a theatre facilitator for ten years, leading practical theatre workshops and projects for groups of all ages, abilities and within various settings. I have worked extensively with young people at both primary, secondary and college level as well as SEND pupils and adults.

I have delivered workshops and projects on verbatim theatre, new writing, puppetry and ensemble theatre amongst other practical workshops focusing on a variety of theatre techniques.

As a facilitator I place an emphasis on creating a secure environment for participants to feel relaxed and able to reach their potential. My workshops are flexible in structure and place participants’ thoughts and ideas at the centre.

Empowering participants’ to be creative, daring and imaginative, in order to develop as creative thinkers and makers is paramount to any workshop, project or production I lead.

I have extensive experience leading and directing youth theatres and have worked in several regional theatres both on a permanent and freelance basis.

Organisations I have led workshops and projects for are: Omnibus Theatre, The Point Theatre, Wiltshire Creative, Bath Theatre Academy, MAST Mayflower Studios, Mayflower Theatre, Corn Exchange Newbury, Kings Theatre Portsmouth
